My Top 5 Favorite Books on Marriage

I woke up to no electricity today so I'm at Panera Bread using their wireless internet access! Sorry I'm late for my early morning readers!!!
These are my top 5 favorite books on marriage:

1. Love and Resect: The Love She Most Desperately Desires / The Respect He Desperately Needs - By Dr. Emerson Eggerich

2. Creative Counterpart: Becoming the Woman, Wife and Mother You Long to Be - By Linda Dillow

3. Intimate Issues: 21 Questions Christian Women ask About Sex - By Linda Dillow and Lorain Pintus (Your husband will appreciate you reading this one!!!!)

4. Femine Appeal 7 Virtues of a Godly Wife and Mother - By Carolyn Mahaney

5. The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands - By Dr. Laura Schlessinger (secular but a good read)

Do you have a favorite book on marriage? There are a lot out there! Feel free to share in the comments section what books and authors have helped your marriage. I always like to read recommended books. I recently ordered "Love Dare". I'll let you know what I think after my husband and I take the Dare!

I have read 4 of those and they are great I will have to read The 7 Virtues that sounds interesting too. I read a great marriage book recently, Created to be His Helpmeet by Debi Pearl. Although some of her doctrine is quite different from mine the basic premise of the book is excellent. The author speaks very bluntly about the role of wives as helpers to their husband nothing is sugar coated and sometimes I need that:-)

Love and Respect is my very favorite! I find myself referring to it again and again. We actually read it together in a Bible Study and it taught us so much about each other and what we both need. I should probably pull it out again though since I can always use the reminder :)

Yes, I have read 'Created to Be His Helpmeet' and it challenged my thinking on marriage and the way I do things. I gleaned a lot from that book! I have read many reviews on the book where wives shared that it saved their marriage - I truly believe if a marriage is on the brink of divorce, this book could really help. Thanks for sharing!

I will second what Courtney said about reading "Intimate Issues"!! Your husband will thank you. Reading this book gave me a whole new prospective about intimacy. I love that it addresses women's feelings and attitudes about sex. I LOVE the biblical prospective as well!
