Tasty Tuesday: Homemade Waffles

For Mother's Day my mother bought me a new waffle maker. Yep, you heard me right - my mother bought ME a Mother's Day gift!!! She's so generous!

So here is my recipe for delicious Homemade Waffles!

Ingredients:
2 cups flour
2 tbsp sugar
4tsp baking powder
t tsp salt

Mix together.

In a separate bowl whisk these together:
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
1/2 cup oil

Add these to the dry ingredients.

Cook your waffles according to the waffle maker instructions and Enjoy!!!

Okay, I don't have a waffle maker (I should; the kids would love them as a hot breakfast before homeschool).

They look delish, but I must say, your daughter is BEAUTIFUL! What a sweet photo, Courtney.

Speaking of daughters, I have Plants Grown Up but had not yet begun to use it with my boys. I saw your post about Polished Cornerstones and so now I'm going to incorporate both into our coming year. Can I ask if you work on Polished Cornerstones every day? I would like to, but I'm not sure if I can realistically make that happen.
Blessings,
Toni
p.s. Looking forward to seeing your upcoming year's schedule. I spent 3 hours on mine at the library on Sunday and, ouch, it "feels" brutal in the rough draft version.

Toni - lol about your schedule! I"m with you - the new school year is a rude awakening to everyone - but also such joy. We had SOOOO much fun yesterday plunging into the new year. The kids were on cloud 9 - plus they eat up all that attention from me one on one. It's wonderful! We love it.

About Polished Cornerstones. Lexi and I only do it once a week. Maybe when she is a few years older we will try to do it twice or 3 times a week - but at her age - once a week keeps it special and not overwhelming!

Thanks, Courtney, regarding Cornerstones. You've given me some perspective on how to practically implement it in our home.

Thank you for sharing! My husband loves waffles but because we don't like using boxed mixes he hasn't had them in a while. I guess I'll be surprising him this weekend!
