My Heart Is About To Burst!

As I clicked through yesterday's marriage challenge link-ups, my heart was overwhelmed with joy! My eyes teared up and I felt like my heart was going to burst - burst with excitement for your marriages!!!

Ladies who linked up - you are BEAUTIFUL! The world has failed to praise you for your inner beauty - but I will not miss this opportunity!

I learned a lot from you all yesterday - at one point I had to pull out my journal and start writing! I think it was the transparency of those who admitted that they had never thought to ask their husband how they could pray for him or were too busy to simply pray - that touched me. It showed me growth is happening!

One woman shared how she asked her husband in the morning how she could pray for him and then he called from work and thanked her for asking! Hooray!

Another shared how her husband leaves early in the morning, but before he leaves he always covers her in bed and says a prayer over her. Beautiful!

Another has been praying for her husband since she was 12 - at the time she was just praying for the man God would bring into her life. And now she is reaping the answers to those prayers. Teach your daughters to pray now for their future husbands!

Many shared great verses. Some have the book "The Power of a Praying Wife" but have never used it and now they are pulling it out and praying! While others said they had been through the book multiple times praying for their husband. Beautiful!

One wife shared how she had given up on prayer since God seemed to be saying "no" - then she realized that God was not trying to change her husband instead he changed her!

Another reflected on how her husband is the leader of their home and the toll leadership takes on a man. The devil seeks to see him fall and if he is led astray so is the rest of the family - she motivated me to pray right that minute AGAIN for my husband!

I recommended you say a sentence prayer for your husband every time you see your wedding ring on your finger. A bunch of wives adopted other little symbols to remind them to pray such as a bicycle, Starbucks cup, ambulance, their shoes, while ironing their clothes or a black Ford F150! Some of you have committed to fast! I am doing a cartwheel inside for you!

Oh ladies - I am just so excited and so blessed and I know your marriages and homes will be too. I want to close this post with what one wife wrote at the end of her post..."please say a sentence prayer for my marriage." What a wise woman she is to know that she needs the prayer of others for her marriage also.

Ladies - do not be afraid to ask others to pray with you for your marriage. We all need prayer. I have prayed for your marriages - so I humbly ask - will you please say a sentence prayer for mine? Thank you and you are truly beautiful! Keep on praying and don't forget to ask your husband today how you can pray for him!

I so enjoyed reading everyone's comments to yesterday! It was "heart leaping" to see other women jumping on board!

I love the book Power of a Praying Wife and how funny you mention it. I have THREE married friends that just yesterday and the day before I quoted something to them out of that book!

Praying for my husband is the best thing that I could do for him!

I just wanted to thank you for your summer challenge! I broke down the prayer list you posted yesterday into seven days so I can pray very specifically for a few things each day. I started this morning and had a really powerful prayer time for my husband, specifically for his purpose and choices. As we were getting ready for work this morning, he started talking to me about some things he's been thinking about for our future and the way he feels the Lord is leading us. He literally said the SAME things I prayed for minutes before our conversation. Not only does the Lord answer prayers -- sometimes he answers them VERY quickly! I am so thankful for a husband who listens for the Lord's voice! What a sweet encouragement from the Lord!

Lord, I bring Courtney's marriage to you today. I pray that you will strengthen her husband as the leader of her home. Protect what they have, bring growth, unify the two of them for your glory. Use their marriage to minister and encourage others. Amen.

I just found your blog from someone else I follow and love what you are doing! I don't know if it's too late to get in on this as I would love to! I have to say I always pray for my husband every morning. He has had many little things happen at work that could of cost him his life. I think if it wasn't for prayer that he wouldn't be here today!

I too enjoyed the power of a praying wife!

Delighted to meet you today. I hope you don't mind if I splash around a bit to get to know you. This looks like a delightful spot to slip off my shoes and drench myself in God's goodness.

Splashin,

This has been such a wonderful challenge!!! My husband has been calling me a lot just to thank me for praying for him and realizing how much the devil is out to make him fail, thus we all fail. It is such a beautiful experience for him to know that I am praying for him and to see the love renewed in his eyes now when he looks at me.

Hello. I didn't link up as, honestly I forgot to do the entry for the challange. So, when looking at the task focus for this week I would love to share that in our prayers during the day we pray for Daddy and his focus on his work and on his witness while he is there rather than here. We also ask that the Lord keep him safe. Each day things are a little different so the prayers are as well, but the point is that we pray for him. For the Lord to be with my beloved husband is a great treat! Thanks for the reminder to pray specifically for the blessing I have in my beloved better half. *smile* Sincerely, Mommy of two little blessings & So much more!

So enjoying looking around your blog!!

I have always felt like NO ONE could pray for my sweet hubby like me, because no one knows him better. And since no one else can do it like me, it's my responsibility as his spouse to cover him in prayer. It's something I feel strongly and passionately about.

Time and again we have seen my prayers for him answered by the Lord, in HUGE ways. What a faith builder, and a great example to our kids when they see mom and dad pray for each other, and prayers ansered.

Thank you for taking the time to bless so many (including myself).

God bless,
Fiona
