Tasty Tuesday: Pineapple Pretzel Fluff

My friend Janelle showed up at my house with this bowl in her hands. It looked so pretty in the bowl that I did what bloggers do! I grabbed my camera and took pictures!!!

I was even happier when I discovered how amazingly delicious it was. I had at least 3 servings and possibly 4 (and if I could have had a 5th without embarrassing myself I would have lol!)

The next picnic I attend I'm bringing this! So who wants to have me over? lol!!
Here's how to make Pineapple Pretzel Fluff:

Ingredients
1 cup coarsely crushed pretzels
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 cup sugar, divided
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained
1 (12 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed

Directions
In a bowl, combine pretzels, butter and 1/2 cup sugar. Press into a 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking pan. Bake at 400 degrees F for 7 minutes. Cool.

Meanwhile, in a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and remaining sugar until creamy. Fold in pineapple and whipped topping; chill until serving.

Break pretzel mixture into small pieces; stir into pineapple mixture and layer some along the top.

Viola - Yum-O!

Looks GREAT! Any suggestions for keeping it "safe" at an outdoor picnic if the temps are warm?

I have a similar recipe but you make a crust out of the pretzels and butter, layer with the cool whip & cream cheese and sugar and then you mix 6 oz strawberry jello with frozen sliced strawberries and pour it over the top. Everyone LOVES it and I could eat the entire pan if allowed!

Blessings,
Mel

Oh my goodness!!! This was beyond delicious! I made it two nights ago, and it was even better the second day! Making it again Sunday for a Father's day dinner. :) This one is going in my "hand-written" recipes notebook. Thanks for sharing Janelle :)

My SIL makes a similar one, but with strawberries. I have lots of pineapple in my stockpile, so I'm definitely trying this one out on my family. Thank you for posting it, Courtney. And Janelle, thanks for bringing us such wonderful recipes.
blessings,
Toni
