My 7 Day Social Media Break

I'm taking a 7 day break from being social on social media to spend time with these wonderful people above!

I will be back next Monday but while I'm gone, I would love for you to visit my friend Clare.  Clare just started blogging at the beginning this year.  She is one of my real life friends - we've co-led bible study together, lived in the same neighborhood and she was my fitness trainer for years.  She inspires me greatly and I hope that she inspires you too!

Clare left a message for you:
Hi everyone! I'd like to thank you for visiting my blog over the past 3 months! Courtney was very kind to promote me on here and I am grateful that you all came and "checked me out"!

I'd like to invite you over to my blog again for a first at Peak313 Fitness. I'm having our first CHALLENGE and link-up for the month of April! I'm calling it the "Try It!" challenge.

In "Reshaping it all" by Candace Cameron Bure, she says, "Piggybacking one new habit with a regular routine is a great way to introduce a new change." One of my desires in having a blog is to teach you and introduce you to new things that you otherwise wouldn't choose. I am going to take you through 4 food items that you might not have introduced to your diet before. I'll examine why they are beneficial, different ways to incorporate them into your diet (with recipes!) and of course, CHALLENGE you to try them for the week!

Thanks Clare - I'm in and have a great week everyone!!!

I think this is wonderful! I know many women who have a hard time stepping back from social media to spend time with their loved ones. It's sad but I have seen Facebook, cafemom and twitter destroy a friends marriage. It's very important to step back and focus on our families.

Good for you, Courtney! I've given up FB for Lent, and I don't know that I'll be going back.

Hi June, I have a question for you.

I started a new feature over at my blog called Letters from My Heart. Basically each week, I'll share a new letter I've written. It might be to one of my children, a friend, a parent, my husband, etc. or maybe a peak into my prayer Journal and a letter to the Father). The Lord really pressed upon my heart- after studying through Paul and all his letters- how important writing letters to those I love is; and after loosing my mom wishing I had more letters from her. So, I have begun doing this with my children, and husband and even friends, and family. It is a way of expressing my heart. A record for them. A way for them not to forget. Be it instruction, conviction, or just loving words.

I would like to have several guest contributors. Maybe one or two each month. I'd like to know if you would be interested, in being a guest contributor. There is no commitment - just a one time thing. Your letter can be to whomever you want it to be and about whatever you want it to be. The only request I have is that it be personal and from your heart and of course encouraging and uplifting. My hope is to encourage others to do the same and even share (I'll have a link up).

Of course, I would ask that on the day the post is published if you'd share an excerpt and then a link back to my blog for the post in entirety. Would you be interested? I would LOVE to feature you and have you be a part of this. I will also have something on my side bar that will have all the contributors for Letters from My Heart as a thank you for those who are.

I have an introduction to Letter from My Heart on my blog here: http://chelseysjourney.com/letters-from-my-heart and you can kind of see more about what I am talking about.

Anyway, I would LOVE to have you guest post and if you are interested, let me know and I can get back with you on available dates.
