Vlog: My Chore Pack System

(This video was first posted on RaisingHomemakers.com - but this is the first time it has been featured on Women Living Well. I apologize if this is a repeat for you! I'm expecting about 13 moms and 30+ little children to my house for a picnic today - so there's no time to write! Gotta get myself in order! Have a great weekend!)

I first saw this chore pack system used on the Duggar’s Show 19 Kids and Counting. Here’s our version of their chore pack system that we have used for over a year with great success!

  1. I think this is awesome!! My daughter has been behind in her speech, all though she is doing well now. We still use something called PECS which are small pictures of things she does, likes, hates to do, you get the idea... so this is just what she would need!!! Thanks so much for re-posting this!!Have a blessed day! April

  2. We use this too--the Duggar's use the Maxwell's Chore Pack system. The book Manager's of their Chores is a great resource btw:-) Have fun today!

  5. I love the Maxwell's books. I have to revamp our chore packs and get back to using them this summer. Love the idea of adding a special one and giving a treat.

  6. I would have loved this system when my kids were little, and they would have too! Hmmm, I wonder if I can talk them into it now (they are 17 and 21), haha!

  13. I kind of had to laugh at this! I am a Duggar fan, love that family. My kids do have chores, though we do charts not the chore packs. But where I laughed was the quarter a day. That is EXACTLY what we do! If they do their chores, have good attitudes and do their school work they get a quarter a day. If they have no struck out (what we say when they loose thier quarter) I bump it up to $2 for the week. Love it! Works great for us. Sweet Blessings~ Jenifer

I LOVE hearing from my readers and I pray for you all regularly. I try to respond to questions in the comment section as quickly as I can - within 1-3 days.

Due to an overflowing email inbox and the desire to keep my husband, children and home first priority in my life, I am no longer able to answer personal emails at this time. I apologize.
