Resurrection Rolls - An Easter Morning Breakfast!

This is another tradition that we have done for a few years - Resurrection Rolls. This is a very popular recipe and it's all over the internet - but I just couldn't let Easter pass without being sure you all know about this fun activity to do with your children for breakfast on Easter morning!

Resurrection Rolls

Ingredients:
1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
8 large marshmallows
Melted butter
Cinnamon
Sugar

Directions:
Give each child one triangle shaped section of crescent roll. This represents the tomb.

Each child takes one marshmallow which represents the body of Christ.

Dip the marshmallow in the butter and roll in cinnamon and sugar mixture. This represents the oils and spices the body was anointed with upon burial.

Lay the marshmallow on the dough and carefully wrap it around the marshmallow.

Make sure all seams are pinched together well. (Otherwise the marshmallow will "ooze" out of the seams)

Bake according to package directions.

Cool. Break open the tomb and the body of Christ is no longer there!!

Celebrate God's love!

Thanks for the recipe! I'm planning to do resurrection cookies with Alayna tonight, but this would be fun to do on Sunday morning!

Hope you guys have a wonderful Easter!

Yaaaa! I'm glad to hear that this is new to some! It's so fun and so easy that it's a must do! But I wasn't sure if it was over used? Enjoy - they are yummy and so fun for the kids! And if you don't have time to do these things on Easter - you can always do them any day of the year - our children always need to be reminded of the gospel! Press on!
