Bible Reading Plans

Have you tried to read through the Bible on a Bible Reading Plan before? It can be terribly frustrating to get behind! If you are not perfectly consistent day in and day out - you eventually get off track and end up with a boatload of reading to do on a Saturday or worse - you may just quit!

I have discovered the PERFECT Bible Reading Plan and I am SO excited to share it with you all!!! Actually John Piper discovered it and I read about it on his blog. My husband printed out the plan and we are both going to do this plan together!

So you may ask - what makes it so perfect??? Each month it gives you 25 days of reading to do and then you get 5-6 days at the end of the month, to make up for any days you missed - which inevitably I always do! Or if you are someone who can keep up with no trouble it gives you extra days to study a passage more indepth. It's perfect!

The plan is titled the Discipleship Journal Plan . Just click on the link and it will take you there. If you do not have a plan for the New Year on how to tackle your quiet times - this is a great tool. Enjoy!

  1. Thanks for the reading plan link Courtney! I've never actually read through the bible from beginning to end, maybe I'll put it on my todo list too! :)

  2. Girl - I'd love to have you join me! I always get behind and this year I am actually starting late and already behind - loveley! BUT this new plan has room to be behind - it's perfect!

Also, if you just wanted to start in February with January's schedule and read it in a year from February to February you can because every month has the same number of readings.

If reading the whole Bible is too much - maybe just make it a goal to read the entire New Testament and then the entire Old Testament next year using the same plan and skipping the OT readings (there are NT and OT readings everyday so you could cut half out!)

    Just a thought!
Love ya - and press on!

I LOVE hearing from my readers and I pray for you all regularly. I try to respond to questions in the comment section as quickly as I can - within 1-3 days.

Due to an overflowing email inbox and the desire to keep my husband, children and home first priority in my life, I am no longer able to answer personal emails at this time. I apologize.
