Tasty Tuesday - Homemade Granola Bar Recipe

Homemade Granola Bars
2 cups oats
3/4 cup wheat germ (I didn't have this so I omitted it)
3/4 cup sunflower seeds
1 cup peanuts/almonds, crushed
2/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup honey
4 Tbsp butter
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp salt
(Add to this list any other ingredients you'd like - like dried fruits, chocolate chips or coconut)

Preheat the oven to 400.

Put the dry ingredients into a baking dish or cookie sheet and toast it in the oven for ten minutes.

Line a 9x13 dish with wax/parchment paper and pull off enough to cover the top too.

Boil together the honey, brown sugar, butter and vanilla - just for a minute or two.

Pour the toasted oats into the wax lined pan and pour in the the honey mixture, stir really well and press very firmly into pan with a layer of wax paper over the top (be careful not to burn yourself).

Let it cool and then cut them into bars! Enjoy!

Walk with the King!
